6th Annual Chef’s Helping Heroes Fundraiser

Renewal Coalition is an organization which provides fully paid retreats for combat injured or ill service members and their families. Many of our wounded service members and their families must spend weeks or months in military hospitals, VA hospitals or rehabilitation centers all over the country. These extended medical stays take a huge toll on the families. Renewal Coalition brings veterans and their families to Jupiter, Florida for a fully paid retreat in order to help them reconnect as a couple or family before returning to rehabilitation, active duty or civilian life. Renewal Coalition was founded by Sandy and Sara Lankler as a labor of love.  Mr. Lankler passed away in 2013 but Sara continues to be the driving force behind the organization.   For the sixth year, local well-known chefs are partnering with theRenewal Coalition to help raise much needed funding by offering their talent, service and even the food to present Chefs Helping Heroes, an evening of excellent dining, drinks, music, dancing and an exciting live auction. And you couldn’t ask for a better location!  The setting of the Coalition is along the Loxahatchee River in a beautiful compound reminiscent of Old Florida, tucked among the banyans. Executive Director Mary Hinton states, “It is an amazing event where the community comes together to support us. We are grateful for the chefs, our donors and our sponsors in making this a memorable evening.” The Chefs Participating are: Chef Frank Eucalitto, Cafe Chardonnay Wine Guy Brian Chamis, Vine Post Chef Pascal Georget, Reef Grill Chef John Carlino, Chef Corp Chef Erik Peterson, EVO Chef Justin Knight, Dive...

Veterans Day

Veterans Day

Today our country honors all of the veterans who have put their lives on the line and all of those who continue to fight daily for our great country. We are forever indebted to our veterans which is why we try to make every day “Veterans Day” here at Renewal Coalition. These brave men and women put their lives on the line and have to leave their families behind to defend the American people. These selfless men and women exemplify the meaning of a true hero. Their battle does not end on the battlefield as many of them must come home and face the battles of mental and physical illnesses that hinder them from the normal lives that many people take for granted. Today we want to honor all of our veterans and say THANK YOU for all you have done for us, our families, and our country. May your sacrifice never go unnoticed. “The land of the free, because of the brave”- May God bless you and keep you...
September 2016 VA Luncheon

September 2016 VA Luncheon

On September 21, 2016, Renewal Coalition in partnership with Veterans Adaptive Sports held our 5th VA luncheon since 2014. We hosted approximately 55 disabled veterans from the Community Living Center (CTC), Blind Rehab Center (BRC) and Outpatient Mental Health Programs (PRRC & MHICM) of the Palm Beach VA Medical Center. This is an event that we look forward to hosting several times each year, when the veterans assemble at the Renewal Coalition property for lunch, games and relaxation. We would like to extend a special thank you to Peter Moore from the Navy Seals Museum who gave special hats complete with the Seals Trident logo to each veteran. Everyone had a wonderful time by the river and we look forward to the next VA lunch retreat, which will be held on December 7,...
