Dr. Sara Ashworth Lankler, President
Dr. Sara Ashworth Lankler is currently Director of the Spectrum Institute for Teaching and Learning. After 40 years of teaching and consulting in various academic arenas, including 20 years at Florida Atlantic University, Sara retired to devote time to create the Spectrum Institute. The Spectrum (discovered Muska Mosston in 1966) is an internationally recognized universal and unifying framework about alternative teaching and learning approaches. The Spectrum theory has gained national and international recognition with approximately 500 presentations within the USA and around the world given by Dr. Ashworth. Numerous awards and recognition have been received, including an Honorary Doctorate from Jyväskylä University, in Finland, numerous Distinguish Teacher Awards, and National Validation Award for Programs that Work. Hundreds of international colleagues have contributed their academic time and research to the Spectrum. Sara resides in Jupiter, FL with her husband Alexander “Sandy” Lankler.
James M. Sack, Vice President
In thirty plus years, Jim Sack has represented businesses and individuals with any and all legal issues. The goal has been to serve his clients as their primary or general counsel. In this view Jim Sack regularly provides tax and business advice related to transactional matters, third party negotiations, restructuring of loans and other business arrangements. Jim graduated from J.D. Boston University, L.L.M. Georgetown University Law Center and received a B.A. from the University of Chicago. Jim has practiced law since 1976 and is the Co-Founder and Chairman of the Organization of Autism Research (OAR).
Colonel Dan Lund, USMC (Ret) Secretary
Colonel Dan Lund brings to the Board a depth of valuable and diversified leadership experience. He commanded over 4700 service members and 4000 multi-national civilians while concurrently working as the senior US military official in the southern Basara Province, Iraq during combat operations. In addition to his military experience, Colonel Lund is the founder of Freedom Boat Club of the Palm Beaches as well as being partners in other corporations. Dan received an MBA from George Washington University, a BS from Providence College and was a faculty member at Johns Hopkins University.
Roberta Lee Machette, Treasurer
Lee is a graduate of George Washington University where she received her Masters degree. She has worked in the fields of law, technology, hospitality and restaurant management. She currently serves as a Director and Treasurer of a Maryland based non-profit organization as well as an Officer and Director for several corporate boards.
